From May 29 to 31, the Hedera project team traveled to Romania for its second transnational meeting. The gathering took place at the headquarters of HoltIS, the Romanian partner organization, and became a key space to continue developing a pioneering model of home-based family therapy.

An Erasmus+ initiative with social impact

Hedera is a European Erasmus+ project that brings together five organizations from different countries with a shared goal: to design an innovative proposal for social workers involved in family contexts. This model aims to provide practical, theoretical, and methodological tools to carry out more effective family interventions at home.

International cooperation for real transformation

During these three days in Romania, partner entities worked side by side, sharing experiences, knowledge, and common challenges. The exchange of perspectives allowed us to move forward together towards a more integrated and contextualized approach to home-based family therapy.

This second transnational meeting not only strengthened international cooperation among professionals but also consolidated the foundations of the Hedera model, which continues to evolve through networked work and the richness of diverse professional perspectives.

Why a home-based family therapy model?

The home context offers a unique opportunity to understand relational dynamics, intervene in a way that is more adapted to the family’s reality, and promote sustainable change. The Hedera project addresses the need to professionalize this type of intervention by providing professionals with new skills, strategies, and theoretical frameworks adapted to this setting.

Next steps for the Hedera project

The journey continues. After this second meeting, the Hedera team is working on developing training resources, practical materials, and a shared framework that allows the model to be transferred to different European contexts.

We will continue to share the progress of this project, which stands for a more human, close, and transformative social intervention!
